Day Six Morning. St. Petersburg Russia.
Below in the first part are a selection of pictures showing in order the stations of the Russian Metro on the St.Petersburg 1st line that we travelled from and too. Due to the fact that the Metro is owned by the Russian military photography is not allowed. If you are caught by the officials who patrol the Metro you would either be made to delete the images if using digital or expose the film if using conventional photography so we were told. These photos have been collected from off the internet from various sources to show some of the amazing architecture in these stations, a far cry from the London Underground.

Day 6 PM

St. Petersburg

Kuznechny Food Mkt.

After our journey throught rush time on the Metro our guide took us to Kuznechny food market, the foods available ranged from cheeses, to cooked & fresh meats, fruit, vedgatables, fish still alive in the tanks i.e. carp and sturgeon ready to be freshly killed for you, down to freshly squeezed honey and fresh cut flowers.

After a good look around the market we ended up taking a short coach ride to the Church Of The Saviour Of The Spilled Blood again,(most tours seem to end there.) Once we left the church it was back to the ship for dinner ready for the afternoon excursion to the Peterhoff Palace to see the fountains.
